  1. Back when I was attending Central (Ellensburg, WA 1996-1999) I began to have some serious hand problems.  Prior to CWU I was doing construction and did a lot of repetitive work.  Sadly my wrists and hands were not built for heavy duty use.  My hands reached a point where I could hardly lift a pencil to draw without being in pain.  I quite literally took a year off and did nothing.  No hand use at all – at least as much as that was possible.  Instead, I sat with a tape recorder and dictated a variety of story ideas which had been rolling around in my head for some time.  A goal since that time has been to illustrate these stories – graphic novels.
Dino Rider (18″x24″) was done in watercolor while that medium was still of great interest to me.
